Here, the summer is on a revenge trip. A heatwave is moving in everywhere. Here in The Southern Highlands the nights bring a reprieve with cooler air. Only last week we had the heaters on.
We have to wait at least another 8 months for our snowdrops.
You have a green thumb! Or is it thumbs?! It’s mid-January and you have all this fun stuff growing around you… And the “clematis” thingie… Someone told me this thingie growing in my backyard is a clematis. Is it? http://www.flickr.com/photos/p47koji/11111356405/
Yes, clematis come in a thousand flavours, yours is a beautiful large flowered hybrid clematis. I am not very successful with these, as we have a dry sandy soil here.
I am astonished to see that you have snowdrops beginning to open so early in the year.
Like the pictures.
Do it Hilary. Get excited. 🙂 –Curt

Where I’ve from the ground is still covered deep in snow so your photos were a warm welcome of what’s to come. Very pretty.
Our Jasmine is in flower and the Firecracker is opening fast. How I miss snowdrops and croci. Lucky you.
Thanks everyone for the world weather garden tour.

How lovely on this cold, dark, wintry day in New York!
